NOTICIA BOLO CÉSPED: FAB ALMERIA LADIES SINGLES

The FAB Ladies Singles Championship was held at Cabrera Lawn Bowling Club on 2^nd and 3^rd December.9 ladies from three local clubs in the area entered this competition.

In cool but lovely sunny weather, the first semi-final found Barbara Davies playing Doreen Hall both of Indalo Bowling Club. This turned out to be rather one sided, with Barbara Davies winning comfortably.

The 2^nd semi-final was between Linda Lester of Indalo Bowling Club and Sue Mannall of Almeria Bowling Club. Linda got away to a good start getting a lead of 14 shots to 6 after 15 ends but Sue fought back and nearly evened the score, but Linda managed to keep the lead and won by 21 shots to 15

The Final between Barbara Davies and Linda Lester was disappointing. It was one of those occasions when one player could not get going and resulted in Linda Lester gaining a comfortable win.

Thus, Linda Lester of Indalo Bowling Club was declared the FAB Ladies Singles Champion for 2012.
