LAWN BOWLS NEWS: FAB RINKS – ANY COMBINATION

Almeria bowling club was the venue for this years F.A.B. Rinks competition which took place on the 22nd / 23rd February.

The semi-finals on Sunday morning had the team of Vic Parsons/ Christina Fitzgerald/Jim Pike/ John Fitzgerald (Almeria) against Bill Seymour/Paul Milsom/Alan Reynolds/John Colquhoun (Indalo) This was a very close match with the result going to the Indalo team 21-18, the other semi-final was contested by two Indalo teams and another close match with the team of Colin Thomas/Fred Hudson/Ray Haynes/Ferah Mehmet winning 15-13 over Lois Swaine/Ken Ferry/Barry Jones/Richard Swaine.

The final took place Sunday afternoon and saw the Indalo team of Colin Thomas/Fred Hudson/Ray Haynes/Ferah Mehmet winning by 22-9 to take the F.A.B. Rinks Title for 2014.
